Culture
The 16th-century poet Chandrabati, known as the first woman poet of Bengali literature, was from here. Pala-gaan and Baul songs echo across the haor.
History
Isa Khan's Jangalbari Fort stands in Karimganj. The Eid congregation at Sholakia is nearly two centuries old.
